I haven't tested the electronics, as the cord is very frayed. It
looks like the speaker cone is torn, which might cause some problems.
The dial cord also appears to be broken.
This Zenith radio is a great example of the bakelite radios which
characterize the machine age. I got a great deal on this one, and it's
in great shape. The case is near perfect, with no scratches, dings, or
cracks. The only flaw was a missing metal insert which goes in the
upper right hand corner. I thought it would be very hard to find this
piece, but I was able to locate a source on the Internet only a day
after buying the radio. I've since received the part, and installed it.
I'll need to take a new picture.
