Zenith 312 Bakelite Tabletop (1939)

This Zenith radio is a great example of the bakelite radios which characterize the machine age. I got a great deal on this one, and it's in great shape. The case is near perfect, with no scratches, dings, or cracks. The only flaw was a missing metal insert which goes in the upper right hand corner. I thought it would be very hard to find this piece, but I was able to locate a source on the Internet only a day after buying the radio. I've since received the part, and installed it. I'll need to take a new picture.

I haven't tested the electronics, as the cord is very frayed. It looks like the speaker cone is torn, which might cause some problems. The dial cord also appears to be broken.
