This is one of the rare radios that is in virtually perfect condition. The case is a red swirled plastic that is scratch and ding free, and polished up to a brilliant sheen.

The radio had a loud hum as found, so it needed a new set of filter capacitors. Once this easy repair was completed, the radio worked great!

One interesting feature of this radio is the pilot light. It is attached to the dial so that the light illuminates the section of the dial scale you are tuning on.

The label on the bottom of the radio was ripped, but I do think this is the model 422. E-mail me if I'm wrong!
