I picked up this great General Electric at a local antique mall. It almost
looks like someone took an in-dash stereo out of a 1950's era car and jammed
it into a walnut case. The chrome face plate, with the pushbuttons looks
just fantastic. The speaker on the radio faces up out of the top. The
red piece under the on/off/volume control is a tone control.
Unfortunately, the lacquer finish was coming off the case in many spots.
The case needed to be refinished.
Electronically, the radio did not work. It powers up, but I was not able
to tune in any stations.
I have since restored this radio.
